DSM Cottage - Halsway Manor, Somerset, UK

This is a mysterious mansion that shows the Reverend Donald Sage Mackay and his family. Various figures are visible: DSM himself, striking a lordly pose; Annette, Donald Jr. Stuart and somebody else on the stairs in front of him; in the back is Winifred with, perhaps Nellie, her mother, except the person has white hair, so she may be Aunt Annie or Aunt Julie; on the far left is a baby with a nursemaid, perhaps Janet. Depending on the date of this picture it might be Olivia or one of the children who died.

Where is this house? According to our family historian, Shelby Mackay Johnson's son, this is a house in Northern England lent to the Mackay family for the summer by a wealthy British friend and admirer. (Elizabeth Mackay Balderston, ten.tsacmoc|notsredlab.e#ten.tsacmoc|notsredlab.e)
